Why use lithium batteries?

There are several reasons that most people to start using lithium batteries in place of lead-acid batteries. Although lithium batteries cost more, they significantly out-perform their lead-acid counterparts. Lead acid batteries stop delivering the required power to golf carts when they still have about one-third of the total charge remaining. This inefficiency limits the distance covered by a golf cart on a single charge.

As lithium batteries are much lighter and smaller than their lead acid counterparts. They are nearly one-fourth the weight and one-third the size of lead acid batteries.

Another area where lithium batteries score over lead acid batteries is that they charge faster. To recharge traditional lead-acid batteries after 18 holes, you need to charge them for 6 to 8 hours. But in case of lithium batteries, you just need around 3 hours to get a full charge.
